Our Story
I started Voltec Electrical in 2014 after almost a decade working for other contractors around Sheffield, watching corners get cut on jobs that really mattered: consumer units left non-compliant, rewires signed off without proper testing, customers charged for work that was never fully explained. I set up on my own because I wanted to do the job properly, every time, and put my name behind it.
We've grown steadily since then, mostly through word of mouth from people who've had a good experience and told their neighbours. What hasn't changed is how we work: every job is tested, certified, and explained in plain English before we leave. We became NICEIC registered early on and have held that certification for over ten years. It's not just a badge on the van, it's an independent check on our standards that we take seriously.
Today Voltec Electrical covers Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield and Worksop. We're still a small, owner-operated team. You'll speak to the same person who quotes the job and who turns up to do it, not a call centre.

Business founded
Started Voltec Electrical from a van and a toolbox, taking on domestic rewiring and fault-finding jobs across Sheffield.

NICEIC accreditation
Achieved NICEIC registration, formalising the standards we'd been holding ourselves to from day one.

Present day
Now a trusted electrician across six South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire towns, with hundreds of completed jobs behind us.
