Lost power to half the house at 9pm on a Sunday. Called the emergency number expecting an answerphone and actually got through to someone straight away. Electrician was at ours within the hour, traced it to a fault at a socket in the kitchen we'd never even noticed was damaged, and had it isolated and power back on safely the same night. Sorted the permanent repair properly a couple of days later.
Our old fuse box was still the rewireable-fuse type from when the house was built, and it had started tripping randomly a couple of times a week. Danny came out, explained what an RCBO board actually does compared to what we had, and had it swapped over in about four hours. Labelled every circuit clearly too, which the old one never was. No mess left behind either.
Needed an EICR done on a rental property before renewing the landlord insurance. Booking took a few days longer than I'd hoped as they were clearly busy, but the inspection itself was thorough. Found a couple of minor issues I didn't know about and gave me a proper written breakdown of what was C2 versus just a recommendation. Report came through within two days of the visit.
