If your fuse box still has a wooden back, rewireable fuses, or no RCD protection at all, it's overdue an upgrade. We replace old consumer units with modern, metal-cased boards fitted with RCBOs on every circuit, so a single fault trips only that circuit, not the whole house. This is one of the most common jobs we do across Sheffield and South Yorkshire, often prompted by a home insurance renewal, a mortgage survey, or simply a board that's tripping more than it used to.
